Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has intervened and assured a quick redressal of the students’ grievances after a serious dispute arose with him over the answer to the Odia Class-X exam.
Students’ performance in Class X Term-I exams was reported by CBSE on March 11 via email to reputable schools and on the same day the education agency also provided a dispute resolution mechanism.
Upon learning of the dispute, the Union Education Minister directed the Chief CBSE to resolve the issue within 24 hours and the students’ grievances would be resolved promptly and appropriately.
As a result, the CBSE has formed an expert committee to examine the discrepancies mentioned in the representation.
Based on the report of the expert committee, CBS has evaluated the OMRs of Odia Class-X with the correct answer key approved by the expert committee.
The revised performance of the students has been sent to the concerned school for further information of the students. A total of 28,310 students have benefited from the amendment, the CBSE said in a statement.
