CBSE to conduct Class 12 compartment exams from August 23, check details

After declaring the CBSE Class 12th Result 2022, the Central Board of Secondary Education informed that students can improve their overall score by appearing for the compartment examination conducted from August 23, 2022. The examination will be conducted on this basis. of Syllabus for Term 2 Examination.

According to an official statement issued by the board, students will be allowed to improve their performance in a subject by participating in the compartment examination. It also said that students who offered six or more subjects and were unable to pass in any of the five subjects, would also be allowed to sit for compartment exams to improve their scores in the failed subjects.

The Class 12 Compartment Exam Form is available on the official website of CBSE i.e. cbse.gov.in.

The board announced the Class 12 exam results on July 22, where the pass percentage was recorded at 92.71%. A total of 1,34,797 students scored 90% or above this year, while 33,432 students scored above 95%.

Meanwhile, CBSE has placed 1,07,689 students in the compartment category which is 5.14% of the total candidates appearing in the examination. This marks an increase over last year when 17,636 (0.84%) were in the category.

Officials confirmed that term 1 exam is given 30% weightage, second term 70% weightage. CBSE conducted the Class 12 board exams from April 26 to June 15. Students can check their results on CBSE official websites cbseresults.nic.in and cbse.gov.in.

Apart from this, the board also announced that the board exam will be held from 15th February 2023 and from 2023 there will be one board exam every year.

CBSE controller Sanyam Bharadwaj on Friday also announced that the board has decided not to allocate first, second and third categories to students in the results of class 10, 12 exams, but it will award merit certificates to 0.1% students who have secured the highest marks in the subject. In class 10 and 12.
