Examination dates have been changed for the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) on a number of subjects, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced on Thursday.
No exams will be held between April 6 and 15 due to by-elections, CM Banerjee said, adding that the exams will end on April 27 instead of April 26.
WBCHSE had a few days ago published the revised schedule for the 12th class examination of the State Board.
Higher secondary examinations were not held last year due to coronavirus infection.
As the number of Kovid-19s has come down late, students will write their papers offline this time.
As the National Testing Agency has decided to hold (Maine) between 16 and 21 April, the board has revised the dates for its Chemistry, Statistics, Economics and other papers so that students can take the entrance test, said WBCHSE President Chiranjeev Bhattacharya.
All tests will be held at the home center, Bhattacharya added.
