In a webinar on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the positive impact of the Union Budget 2022 on the education sector. He said the budget for 2022-23 would play a key role in implementing the new education policy.
Prime Minister Modi said the announcement of digital university would boost the education sector. According to the Prime Minister, digital universities will solve the problem of seat crisis and provide unlimited seats for all.
Further, he has listed five issues in the 2022 budget that emphasize the development of education in the country. There are five issues – universalization of quality education; Efficient development; Town planning or design; Internationalization, and AVGC-animation, visualization, gaming and coding.
Further, Prime Minister Modi said that budget announcements like e-Vidya, One Class One Channel, Digital Lab, Digital Universities will enhance the education infrastructure and also help the youth of India.
Claiming that mother tongue education is related to the mental development of children, Modi highlighted that medical and technical education in local languages has started in many states.
This year the central government has set aside 31.04 lakh crore in education sector —- almost increase 311,000 crore. The center has allocated 363,449.37 crore for schools, and 340,828.35 crore for higher education.
