For those who don’t, Microsoft has announced that DirectStorage will return to Windows in September 2020. The company is developing a technology application programming interface (API) for all its partners (including developers) to send their games. In the case of direct storage, it is an API of the DirectX family that was originally designed for velocity architecture from Windows PCs. Direct storage increases input / output speeds resulting in faster loading speeds.
