The third phase of Delhi University admissions to undergraduate (UG) courses is expected to begin from October 18. As announced by the university, the first seat allotment list will be announced on October 18, the second list on October 25 and the third list on November 4.

The admission process, which started from September 12, is being conducted in three phases: applying to the university in the first phase, filling the preferences in the second phase and seat allotment-cum-admission in the third phase.

To give applicants an opportunity to select their preferred program and college combination, the university began the second phase of the undergraduate admissions process on September 26. DU has extended the admission registration date and date for choosing college-course preferences for UG courses from October 10 to 12.

Last week, the university added a new tab to its admissions website to provide real-time instant data and information on the programs and college choices candidates are opting for.

Admission is going on in DU’s ‘School of Open Learning’

The application process for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programs at Delhi University’s School of Open Learning (SOL) began on October 5.

Admission to UG courses offered in SOL, according to a university notification, will be based on Class 12 results only.

This is in contrast to admissions to constituent colleges of Delhi University which are being conducted through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) this academic year.

Last date for admission is 31 October.

SOL is one of the most sought after institutes for distance learning in the country. It offers various courses to the students.

According to officials, in the previous academic year, 2021-2022, around five lakh students were enrolled in various subjects.

From the academic year 2022-23, all UG and PG admissions in SOL will be done in distance and continuing education department.

The varsity has established the Department of Distance and Continuing Education, the Faculty of Open Learning and the Open Learning Development Center under the supervision of the School of Open Learning.

The Department has adopted Undergraduate Curriculum Framework 2022 under NEP – 2022.
