DU UG Admission2022: Process to begin soon, keep these documents ready

Delhi University is expected to start the application process for undergraduate courses soon for the new academic session. Admission to DU UG this year will be based on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). The exam is over now and the result will be declared soon.

Till the last academic year, DU used to admit students on the basis of cut-off marks obtained in class XII examination, but from this year, it will be based on the score of Chuet.

In a recent notification, Delhi University has listed the required documents and certificates for admission to undergraduate courses. The university has asked the students to keep the documents in hand by August 31.

DU UG Admission 2022: List of Documents

1) 10th Class Certificate

2) Class XII Certificate

3) SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/Minority/CW/KM/PwBD certificate, if any

4) OBC-Non-Creamy Layer Certificate, Income Certificate, if applicable

5) EWS certificate, if applicable

6) Sikh/Christian Minority Certificate, if applicable

7) Children/Widows of Armed Forces Department Personnel—Educational Exemption Certificate (ECC) Certificate

8) Persons with Benchmark Disability Certificate

9) Relevant certificate of other quota like Extra Curricular Activities (ECA), Sports, any other

“Delhi University will soon launch its application process for admission to Under-Graduate Programmes. Candidates intending to apply to Delhi University must ensure that the following certificates/documents (as applicable) are in a ready format by August 31, 2022,” read the notification.

“The name of the candidate claiming reservation must match the name of the candidate as it appears in their respective school board eligibility certificate and CUET(UG)-2022. Similarly, the name of the parents must also match the certificate,” the university said. .

The university has further clarified in its notification that no undertaking will be accepted for incomplete, invalid and unavailability of documents and certificates at the time of application.

The admission process is likely to be delayed by “at least a week” due to the extension of the CHEET-UG schedule after exams were canceled at several centers last week due to technical glitches, DU officials said.

Chuet-UG, which was supposed to end on August 20, has now ended on August 28.
