Garmin Instinct 2 smartwatch series launched in India, price starts at Rs 33,990

Garmin has launched its Instinct 2 series smartwatches in India There are five new smartwatches in this series – Instinct 2, Instinct 2S, Instinct 2S Solar, Instinct 2 Solar, Instinct 2 Camo Edition and Instinct 2 Solar Tactical Edition. The new range includes features like VO2 Max and Slip Score, along with multi-GNSS support, ABC sensors, a barometer for weather monitoring and trackback routing to get back to the starting point.

Price and availability

The smartwatches will go on sale in the country on March 14.

Pre-booking offer

The Garmin Instinct 2 series smartwatches will be pre-ordered in both online and offline stores from March 8 to 13. The company says that the first 100 customers who pre-book the Instinct 2 during the offer will get “Saucony” casual shoes “Azura” priced at Rs 7,990.

Specification

The Garmin Instinct 2 series is built to military standard 810 for heat and shock resistance. It is water-resistant up to 100 meters. It can be customized by free downloading applications, widgets, clock face, data fields and much more from Garmin Connect IQ (CIQ) store2.

The Instinct 2 series is claimed to offer up to four weeks of battery life. Solar models offer unlimited battery life in smartwatch mode and 48 hours in GPS mode.

The health features of the device include wrist-based heart rate monitoring during workouts, stress tracking, sleep scores, improved sleep and body battery power monitoring. It can also be used to track pulse axes, intensity minutes to track activities and to track women’s health.

The smartwatch is preloaded with sports application and activity. Key features are VO2 Max, Fitness Edge, Training Status / Load / Effects, Recovery Time, HIIT and Daily Suggested Workout.

The Garmin Instinct 2 series has two purpose-built versions with dedicated features. The first is the Instinct 2 Solar – Strategic version. It has specific tactical features like Kill Switch, Stealth Mode, Night Vision Goggle Adjustment, Dual Format Position Coordinate and Jumpmaster Activity Mode. It is available in black or coyote tan. The second is a camouflage version with a graphite pattern.
