Hailey Bieber, wife of 25-year-old model and singer Justin Bieber, was hospitalized on March 10, 2022 with stroke-like symptoms.

In a YouTube video posted Wednesday, he described his experience as “the scariest moment of his life” and described the incident.

“Basically, I had breakfast with my husband [Justin Bieber]A normal day, normal conversation and we were in the middle of talking and all of a sudden, I really felt this weird feeling that this kind of my hand went down from my shoulder to the tip of my finger … the tip of my finger felt really numb and weird, “She is OK.

Recalling the incident, he said, “The right side of my face started hanging, I couldn’t get out a single sentence.”

“Immediately, I thought I had a stroke,” he said, adding that he was lucky to have a doctor on site who was able to examine him.

Hailey was then taken to the hospital, where doctors determined she had a small blood clot in her brain, which was labeled and classified as TIA, a transient ischemic attack (TIA).

TIA is also sometimes referred to as a mini-stroke, which is a temporary period of stroke-like symptoms.

According to his doctors, there were three reasons why blood clots formed in his brain.

“One is that I recently started taking birth control pills, which I should never have taken because I’m the only one who suffers from migraines anyway,” he explained. “And I didn’t talk to my doctor about it.”

Secondly, he also had a Covid-19 recently and he traveled from Paris and “” returned very soon. Therefore, he called it the “perfect storm” for his blood clotting

However, doctors could not confirm why his brain was frozen.

Later, he visited UCLA, where he underwent a transcranial Doppler, an ultrasound that used sound waves to detect blood flow to the brain, after which he was diagnosed with Grade 5 PFO (the highest possible grade).

“The conclusion was that I had a blood clot that traveled to my heart and instead – if you have a small blood clot, what usually happens is the heart clots in your lungs. Tied will filter and your lungs will absorb it, “he explained

“What happened to me was that my blood clot actually came out through a flap or a hole in my heart and it went into my brain and that’s why I got TIA,” he added.

Baldwin Bieber then completes a heart procedure to close the PFO by inserting a small object into her groin with the femoral vein to close the small hole. According to him, the surgery has been “very smooth” and he is recovering well.

“The biggest thing I feel is that I’m really relieved that we’ve been able to find everything, that we’ve been able to stop it, that I’m really going to be able to get out of this horrible situation and just live my life.” He says.

He is currently on aspirin and blood thinners and shares that he no longer has any symptoms.
