In the final placement of Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore, 662 offers were made for 513 students, out of which consulting firms rolled out most offers. Accenture IIM-B was the largest employer with 51 offers.
“Overall, the number of YoY offers has increased by 37%, driven primarily by the role of consulting and product management. Strategic counseling continues to be the most sought after role among students, followed by product management and finance,” said Harsh Agarwal, IIM-B. Placement representative. This includes lateral and final placement of the 2022 batch.
The consulting firms made 248 offers, including 51 offers led by Accenture, followed by Boston Consulting Group with 30 offers. Other top employers include Kearney (27), Bain & Company (26), and McKinsey & Company (22), the institute said Wednesday.
The employers of the information technology and product management domain, who have made 141 offers are Microsoft (15), OYO (11), Amagi Labs (7), Oracle (7), Atlasian (6), Google (6).
There were a total of 71 offers in the finance domain and a total of 52 offers in the general management position. The students who took the role of sales and marketing received 40 offers and were recruited by major consumer goods companies led by HUL (6), Asian Paints (4).
