According to the NHS UK, monkeypox can be spread by touching the clothes, bed or towel used by the person with the rash. It can also be spread by touching monkeypox skin blisters or scabs. The cough or sneeze of a person infected with the monkeypox rash can also spread the virus to people around them.
Regarding the mode of transmission of monkeypox, the World Health Organization (WHO) says, “Secondary, or human-to-human, infection is relatively limited.
Health experts are urging gay and bisexual men in particular to be aware of any abnormal rashes or lesions and to contact sexual health services without delay.
