The NTA will conduct multiple admissions from April 2022, including two JEE (major) for admission to engineering and architecture programs, NEET-UG for medical and allied courses, and a general entrance test for admissions to central universities.
Last year, the NEET-UG exam was held on September 12, with more than 95 percent of the registered candidates taking the medical entrance exam.
In 2021, more than 15.44 lakh candidates appeared in the examinations conducted in 3,858 centers in 13 languages. More than 8.70 lakh candidates qualified for the examination.
Last year, the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) -Main was conducted four times a year to give students the opportunity to improve their flexibility and score. The first episode is held in February and the second in March. Subsequent phases were scheduled for April and May, but were postponed due to the second wave of the Covid-19 epidemic. The other two stages were conducted last August and September.
However, this year, the JEE-Main test is likely to be held twice, with the best two scores on the merit list to be decided.
