The Punjab School Education Board’s Class 12 English exam scheduled to be held on Friday has been canceled following reports of question paper leaks.
According to a statement from the state government, on the instructions of Punjab School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, the exam has been cancelled.
Bains was quoted as saying in the statement that he had instructed the authorities to cancel the examination after taking immediate action after receiving information about the question paper leak.
The minister ordered a high-level inquiry into the matter and said no one involved in the incident would be spared and exemplary action would be ensured against the culprits.
The new date of examination will be informed later.
