New Delhi: Rumors abound Samsung Working on next generation Galaxy smartwatches called Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. The company has now released a One UI 4.5 beta to test users on the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4. The beta version of the Samsung Health app reveals a list of compatible devices. In this list, the company mistakenly confirmed two still-launched Galaxy smartwatches – the Galaxy Watch 5 and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.
Based on the new release, Samsung is expected to launch two models of its upcoming smartwatch and there will be no classic models this time around, including the popular rolling bezel.
9to5 According to Google, a similar thing happened before the launch of Galaxy Watch 4. Last year, the Samsung Health app also received a beta update that showed the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. The placeholder image of both smartwatches suggests that the wearables will be in the same design as their predecessors.
Recently, it was also reported that with the launch of the Galaxy Watch 5, the tech giant is also dropping its rolling bezel feature.
On the other hand, another online report states that Samsung may not include a thermometer in the Galaxy Watch 5. Popular analyst Ming-Chi-Kuo says that Samsung is facing a challenge to include a thermometer in the Galaxy Watch 5. “The challenge of implementing precise body temperature measurements is that the skin temperature changes rapidly depending on the external environment. A smartwatch cannot support the original temperature measurement in terms of hardware, so it needs an excellent algorithm to work together,” Kuo said.
