According to a report from SamMobile, Samsung has started rolling out the Android 12 update for its Galaxy A22 smartphone. Currently available to users in Russia, the software update brings security patches for the month of April 2022. The update comes with firmware version A225FXXU3BVD8. The company claims that the update will address 88 security issues.
With the Android 12 update, Galaxy A22 users will also get the Samsung One UI 4.1 update.
With One UI 4.0, users will find advanced stock apps, Material U dynamic color themes, lock screen widgets, off-camera and microphone access, and dedicated quick toggle settings to switch new widget designs. The update also claims to increase the security and privacy of devices.
Samsung Galaxy A22 Specification
The Samsung Galaxy A22 has a 6.4-inch HD + display with a resolution of 720×1600 pixels. The smartphone has 4GB / 6GB RAM with octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 processor.
The smartphone offers 64GB / 128GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 256GB by installing a microSD card.
The dual SIM smartphone tops the list with Samsung’s own level of customization, including the Android 11 operating system. The Samsung Galaxy A22 comes with a quad-rear camera setup with a 48MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP depth sensor and 2MP macro sensor.
There is also a 13MP selfie shooter on the front. The smartphone comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and is backed by a 5000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
