Samsung Galaxy S22+ first impressions

Samsung India has recently launched their flagship Galaxy S22 series smartphone. There are three phones in the smartphone series – Galaxy S22 Ultra, Galaxy S22 + and Galaxy S22. The Samsung Galaxy S22 + has a starting price of Rs 84,999 and it packs with many features and it looks like an attractive purchase. We’ve had the opportunity to use the device for a while and here are our initial impressions:
Design
Samsung hasn’t changed much in terms of design elements of the Samsung Galaxy S22 +. The smartphone looks a lot like its predecessor – the Galaxy S21 +. The smartphone comes with a flatter frame at this point and it offers the user a strong grip. The dual SIM slot is mounted on the bottom of the phone with a USB Type-C charging port and speaker output. The SIM card tray can hold two SIM cards and the smartphone does not allow you to install a microSD card. The power button and volume rockers are located on the right. The smartphone has a triple rear camera mounted inside a metal module that sits in the upper left corner. The smartphone comes in four color options – Phantom White, Phantom Black, Green and Pink Gold. The sleek and stylish smartphone comes with a compact form factor and is also easy to use with one hand.
Display
The Samsung Galaxy S22 + has a 6.6-inch FHD + display with an adaptive refresh rate. The top of the display is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus +. Display The Samsung Galaxy S22 + offers a bright and dynamic display that provides a smooth user experience. Adapted refresh rate enhances the display experience and also helps reduce battery consumption. The 1750 net brightness level provides good visibility under direct sunlight. The smartphone’s display comes with wide viewing angles and the appropriate color reproduction enables users to enjoy long quiz sessions. The display also offers a variety of color profiles that allow users to customize the display to suit their needs.

Hardware and software
Samsung has always launched two variants of the Galaxy S series smartphones – one powered by an Exynos processor and the other by Qualcomm. For the first time, Samsung has launched Qualcomm variant in India. Samsung Galaxy S22 + comes with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset with 8GB RAM. The smartphone comes in two storage options – 128GB and 256GB. The smartphone performed well during our initial tests and we did not encounter any gaps. We had a smooth experience while multitasking and gaming.
With a powerful processor, the Samsung Galaxy S22 + also offers fast charging support. The smartphone has a 4500mAh battery with 45W fast charging, 15W Qi wireless charging, wireless powershare features. Samsung claims that the smartphone can be charged from 0 to 50% in just 15 minutes. However, we have not yet been able to test this functionality and the battery backup of the smartphone. The dual SIM smartphone is equipped with an in-fingerprint sensor and has a triple rear camera setup.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 + runs the Android 12 operating system, including the company’s own Layer One UI 4.1 out-of-the-box. In addition to a clean user interface, the smartphone also offers all the features of Android 12. It comes with a productivity hub that can be accessed by swiping the display from right to left. The hub allows users to quickly access some important apps without having to unlock the smartphone. We’ll talk more about the software in a detailed review of our smartphones.
The camera
Like its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S22 + has a triple rear camera setup. The rear camera of the smartphone has a 50MP main sensor with f / 1.8 aperture, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor with f / 2.2 aperture and a 10MP telephoto lens with f / 2.4 aperture. The smartphone’s camera comes with 3x optical zoom and is capable of recording 4k video at 60 fps and 8k video at 30fps. The smartphone has a 10MP selfie camera with f / 2.2 aperture. The camera provided some really impressive results during our initial tests. The captured images turned out to be bright and beautiful. Whatever we think
The Samsung Galaxy S22 + is a built-in flagship device and will appeal to the iPhone 13 and others. The smartphone has a sleek design and offers all the high-end and powerful specifications. But will that be enough? Wait for our detailed review to learn more.
