According to 9to5Google, the company has now released the June 2022 update for a few Galaxy devices that have become the first OEM to be provided by Galaxy owners with the latest security patches.

Samsung has not yet shared the release notes, however, it is important to note that the previous May 2022 protection patch solved the widely circulated “Dirty Pipe” exploitation for many devices. This problem mainly affects Samsung Galaxy And Google Pixel smartphones. Furthermore, the exploitation could directly affect devices and was limited to Galaxy S22 series handsets only. Android 12 and kernel version 5.8 or higher.
Some Galaxy smartphones are still waiting for the One UI 4.1 update which is a mid-cycle Android 12 build that has a number of functions and features that were initially launched as exclusive to the Galaxy S22 series smartphones. Therefore, some Samsung Galaxy phones are also expected to receive the One UI 4.1 update with the security update of June 2022, as the rollout is not yet complete.

Samsung has released the June 2022 security update for some devices, but the company is constantly expanding the rollout with more devices and regions that are likely to get it in the coming days and weeks.
Samsung released the S22 series earlier this year, yet the first smartphone to be updated with the June patch was the previous series. European owners have announced the arrival of the company’s June 2022 security update as an OTA update on the Galaxy S21, S21 + and S21 Ultra models. Exynos 2100-powered variants of these devices are expected to be updated in the coming weeks. However, no timeline was ever mentioned in the report Qualcomm The model will be updated.
However, the first Samsung device to receive the security patch in June as an OTA update was not a smartphone, but rather a tablet. The Galaxy Tab S7 + 5G has started getting updates in different parts of Europe – Germany, France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, UK and others.
Users who are not willing to wait for the OTA notification to arrive on their device may try to manually drag this update to their smartphone. To do this, users need to go to the settings menu, then open their software update and select download and install.
