The lens will be available for purchase at all Sony centers, Alpha flagship stores, portals and major electronics stores across India from May 26.
Sony FE PZ 16-35mm F4 G: Features
The Sony FE PZ 16-35mm F4 G features a compact form factor and claims to offer sharp and detailed output with bokeh effects. The optical path of the lens consists of two AA (advanced aspherical) components, a standard aspherical component, a super ED (extra-low scattering) and an ED glass component and an ED aspherical component.
The lens comes with an advanced autofocus mechanism. The PZ 16-35mm is the first lens in the Alpha Lens series to use six of Sony’s original XD (Extreme Dynamic) linear motors for both focus and zoom drives.
The AF system demands fast response and smooth, quiet operation. Sony claims that with the new Focus system, users can shoot stills up to 30 fps.
The company claims that it has applied refined images and controls based on feedback received from users. It features lens technology to reduce focus breathing as well as focus and axial shift when zooming to ensure the highest quality image is easily captured. Focus, zoom, and aperture operations are also extremely quiet, greatly reducing noise and vibration that can interfere with movie recording.
The lens has a brand new electronic power zoom system powered by an XD linear motor. The new system claims to reduce camera shaking and allows users to shoot super slow at a constant speed.
