New Delhi : Professor M Jagdesh Kumar, chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC), has said that students will not have to take multiple exams if CUET is introduced. He said in his statement that aspiring candidates would not even need an exemplary number to pass the competition in the Class 12 board examination.

The Chairman said, “We have written to the Vice-Chancellors, Directors, Principals of all the State Universities, all UGCs considering all State Universities, Private Universities, Universities and Colleges to use CUET scores for admission to the UG Program from 2022-23 academic year.” Central Universities in 13 Indian languages ​​have been funded by the Agency (NTA). “

Jagdesh Kumar said UGC has written to state universities, private and reputed universities to use Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores for admission in undergraduate (UG) programs.

In a letter to state universities, the chairman wrote, “Many state universities in the country, which are considered as universities, private universities and other institutions of higher learning (HEIs), also use 12th board numbers or conduct entrance exams for admission. UG program.”

The letter added, “To prevent students from appearing in multiple entrance exams, conducted on different dates, sometimes matching with each other and to give equal opportunity to all students on different boards, UGC invites and encourages all state universities, as it seems.” Universities, private universities and other HEIs will receive and use CUET scores from 2022-23 to enroll students in their UG programs. “

The NTA said in a statement that “the CUET (UG) -2022 will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode and will be of objective type with multiple choice questions. The test will have four sections which are IA-13 section. Section II – 27 domain-specific subjects, Section III – General Examination Candidates. “

According to the NTA notification, candidates will be able to register for the CUET exam online from April 2, 2022.
