New Delhi: Telegram Allegedly its premium subscription model is being tested. Now it seems that the company has started the same work. According to a report from TechCrunch, the cloud-based messaging app has launched its premium subscription service. As part of the service, users will get access to additional features by paying 4.99 (Rs. 390) per month.
With the premium subscription model, Telegram users will have access to features like fast downloads, file uploads up to a maximum of 4GB and much more. In addition to these features, users of premium models will be charged twice as much as regular users. This means that instead of 500 channels, premium users will be able to subscribe to 1000 channels. Premium users will be allowed to pin up to 10 chats, save up to 10 stickers and add a total of four accounts to Telegram instead of three.
With the features mentioned above, premium users can access the library of premium stickers, exclusive emoji responses, animated profile pictures and much more. Users can also get text conversions for voice messaging and other chat management tools with the subscription. Also, subscriptions to premium models will remove sponsored messages on public channels.
Talking about the premium model, Telegram said in an official post, “Today is an important day in the history of telegram – it is not only a new milestone but also the beginning of sustainable monetization of telegram. We believe that telegram development should be driven primarily. Its users, not advertisers That way, our users will always be our top priority. ”
The Telegram also revealed that it is among the top five most downloaded apps worldwide in 2022 and has 700 million monthly active users.
