Vivo Launches two new smartphones – Vivo S15 And Vivo S15 Pro – In China. The company’s latest smartphone has an AMOLED display, runs the latest version of the Android operating system and is equipped with a triple rear camera setup. It is also important to note that Vivo also launched the Vivo S15e smartphone powered by Exynos 1080 chipset earlier this month.
Vivo S15, S15 Pro: Price and availability
Both the smartphones will be available in multiple color options. The Vivo S15 will be available in Summer Blue, Light Gold and Black, while the Pro variant will come in Midsummer Blue and Black color options.
The Vivo S15 is available in three configurations – 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB and is priced at 2699 Yuan (about Rs. 31,000), 2999 Yuan (about Rs. 34,000), 320 Yuan and Rs. 30,000. .
On the other hand, the base variant featuring Vivo S15 Pro, 8GB RAM and 256GB storage will be available at a starting price of 3399 Yuan (about Rs. 39,000).
Vivo S15, S15 Pro: Specification
The Vivo S15 has a 6.62-inch Samsung E4 AMOLED display with FHD + resolution. The Vivo S15 Pro has a slightly smaller 6.56-inch Samsung E5 AMOLED display and 120Hz refresh rate. The panel also supports HDR10 + and 1000Hz touch sampling rate.
The Vivo S15 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset, while the Pro variant will rock the recently launched MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset. Both the smartphones will be available starting from the base variant with 8GB RAM and will offer 12GB RAM in the top variant.
In terms of camera, both smartphones have a triple rear camera setup on the back. However, the camera setup on the smartphone is different. The more affordable Vivo S15 is equipped with a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front, the handset comes with a 32MP sensor.
The Vivo S15 Pro comes with a 50MP primary, a 13MP Ultra-Wide and a 2MP B and W sensor. The handset also has a 32MP selfie shooter.
In terms of battery, in both cases, the S15 Duo has a 4500mAh battery with fast charging support. Also, the handsets run OriginOS based on the out-of-the-box Android 12 operating system. It is expected that the global variant of smartphones will come with FunTouch OS instead of Origin OS.
