WhatsApp Is said to be working on a feature that allows users to create polls in group chats. According to a report from WaBetaInfo, WhatsApp has submitted a new beta update for its iOS app, bringing the version up to 22.6.0.70. The beta update reveals that the meta-owned messaging platform is developing a group poll feature. Group polls are now available on messaging apps like Facebook MessengerTelegram and others.
How will WhatsApp group poll Features work?
The report says that WhatsApp users will be able to create a poll for group chat. They will then be asked to write a voting question and send it to a WhatsApp group. Both the asked question and the answer will be encrypted end-to-end.
The poll is only available in the WhatsApp group, which means only people in the group can see the poll and its results. The latest beta version of WhatsApp for iOS features the Group Poll feature.
WhatsApp is already reportedly testing a new feature for Android users. This will allow Android users to pause and resume voice recording soon. Until now, the feature was only available to Apple users on Apple iOS and desktop. WhatsApp has launched a new beta update for Android users, according to a report from WABetaInfo. After the update, Android users can pause a voice note recording on their smartphone. It will work similarly on iOS platform.
Android users will be able to see a new pause button when swiping up after pressing the recording button. Once paused, the same button will be used to resume recording. The new feature will be helpful for sharing long recordings and it will also save time for users as they do not have to re-record voice notes in case of some interruptions.
