Meta-owned instant messaging WhatsApp It has three big new features for its users. In a blog post, WhatsApp revealed that users will get three new features Emoji Feedback, the ability to send 2GB files and add up to 512 people to a group.
Emoji feedback is now available
WhatsApp said it was “excited to share that emoji responses are now available in the latest version of the app. Responses are fun, fast and they also reduce overloads in groups.” WhatsApp added that it will add a wide range of expressions in the future.
Sending responses is easy because users only have to press a message for a long time and an emoji response will appear. Users can send feedback for individual chats as well as group chats. Users will be able to see who responded to an outgoing or incoming message by tapping on the feedback icon. Like any other incoming message, users will receive a notification if someone responds to your message.
You can now send large files to WhatsApp
Users will now be able to send files up to 2GB at a time in WhatsApp, protected by end-to-end encryption. This is an increase from the previous limit of 100MB. WhatsApp says the feature will be helpful for collaboration between small businesses and school groups. “We recommend using WiFi for larger files and we’ll display a counter when uploading or downloading to let you know how long your transfer will take.” So users will know how long it will take to transfer a relatively large file size.
You can now add more people to the group
WhatsApp says that one of the top requests consistently received is the option to add more people to the chat. Based on the request, WhatsApp is now launching the ability to add up to 512 people to a group.
Note that though the features have been officially rolled out to all users AndroidiOS and Desktop, it may take a few days to reach everyone.
