Microsoft Has launched a new security feature that claims to keep users safe from potentially dangerous apps. A part of the security features Windows 11 Create 22567 which comes with some design improvements. The tech giant is calling the new security feature Smart App Control (SAC). This is quite similar to the smartscreen feature Windows 10.
The smart app control security feature in Windows 11
As explained by Microsoft in a blog, Smart App Control (SAC) blocks unreliable or potentially dangerous applications. The SAC is first configured in evaluation mode. While in SAC evaluation mode, you will learn if it can help protect you without too much hindrance. If so, it will turn on automatically. Otherwise, it will shut down automatically. While in evaluation mode, a user can manually launch SAC in the Windows Security app under the App and Browser Control section. Note that SAC can only be activated on Windows devices that have performed a clean install with the latest Insider Preview build (build 22567 and higher).
What other new features are there Windows 11 update
With the latest update, the company has updated the “Open With” dialog box to align with the Windows 11 design theme. The updated dialog box follows user-selected light / dark themes for PC. Microsoft has made the experience easier by updating your default app with just one click.
Also, the ability of voice typing to download speech packs from the Microsoft Store for device-based speech recognition is now available to all Dev channel insiders to provide better transcription functionality.
